It was back in 2007 when as a first – timer, desperate mother, I was hunting for a good Kindergarten school and Day – care for my elder daughter Aashana. I so vividly remember how during one of my exploring missions I walked into Anubhav and met Neenaji. And let me tell you that it was definitely one of the best days of my life. My parole (dialogue) with her was a spell of respite for me and from that day on I knew my daughter was in safe and good hands.
It is for this reason that I never had any fear or apprehension before deciding to have another child as I knew there was somebody to look after my child very well.
Both my daughters have grown and flourished well at Anubhav where each day is full of opportunities, adventures and discoveries. It is a place where children learn basic things like manners, virtues etc. When I hear my younger daughter Lavanya saying:
1) “Kaan se sorry bolo” (by which she means that hold your years and say sorry)
2) Or when she urges “didi ne sorry bola, ab koi baat nahi”
At such times I just wonder how these values of compassion, respect, and forgiveness have gradually been imbibed in her and all this has been the miraculous task of her teachers at Anubhav. The children from Anubhav walk out as confident, disciplined, independent individuals who are capable of doing well in all spheres of life. This is not an exaggeration; I can say this because I can already see the results of the solid foundation laid at Anubhav in case of my elder daughter
Here I would like to quote:
“A great teacher will never strive to make others see her vision,
Rather she will make others stand by her side and see for themselves”.
I think this is exactly what Dr. Neena Gulabani and her team has been doing over the years. She has been constantly evolving as teacher and a mentor, imparting great knowledge not only to the students but also to us – the parents. She has been the guiding torch in our difficult and testing times. Her methods make us reflect over what we have done and what could be the consequences of our actions. And I strongly believe that it is this knowledge which is the need of the hour when in our society the crime rate and the rift in various relationships is increasing fast with each passing minute.
At last I would just like to thank Anubhav for shaping up beautifully the character of both my daughters and I am proud of my association with the school.
